"All discarded lovers should be given a second chance, but with somebody else."

-- Mae West

Venus entered the sign of the Twins this week, which means that love becomes either double-your-pleasure or double-crossed ... or both. Gemini is the sign of the Lovers, so this is a very sexual and dynamic placement for Venus. The only issue is that the duality of the sign could make relating feel more like a rollercoaster ride than stable ground.

We need to remain flexible, curious and playful during this whimsical transit. This is not a time to back anyone into a corner or force ultimatums unless you want to kill the love buzz. There's a dance between the opposites and a push-pull, come-here-go-away energy that's either enticing or maddening, depending on your constitution.

We could find ourselves loving things or even people in pairs. Gemini hates to choose and would rather keep both options open. Gemini prefers the revolving door to the deadbolt lock. We may also become aware of our tendencies toward duplicity or fear of choice during this transit. Do we love from a place of conscious choice? Do we draw from our value system in choosing that which we desire or do we unconsciously "fall" in love?

It's good to look at our patterns, and where we may be deceiving ourselves around love and choice during this time. Venus in Gemini also reminds us of the importance of communication in maintaining a loving and playful connection. Since Mercury is still retrograde, choose your words very, very carefully -- especially with your lover!
